I really wanted to sleep in my wedding dress because I couldn’t believe that after months and months of fittings and decisions, this was it!
I made up my mind that I was going to have to wear my reception dress again sometime in the future and I finally got that opportunity this weekend.
The graceful, gorgeous, uber talented Deola Sagoe of House of Deola made me the most beautiful reception dress. I felt like I was walking jewellery on my wedding day!
My dear Aunty Deola turned 50 over the weekend the theme was “Diamonds” -who doesn’t love diamonds? (and of course, I love a good themed-party so I was super excited to plan my outfit). I remembered the cropped top which she made as part of my reception dress and decided to pair that with a pair of wide-legged pants by Clan; I thought it would be a great way to honour her by wearing one of her pieces to her birthday party.
I had so much fun rocking this outfit and I’m pretty sure I’m going to rock it again sometime soon!
